目的: The purpose of this Policy is to prevent the spread or outbreak of communicable or infectious diseases, and it will be interpreted and administered in order to protect the health and well-being of the campus community.

“传染性疾病” means a disease of humans or animals resulting from an infection or an illness due to exposure to a specific disease agent which arises through transmission of that disease agent, 直接或间接. It is the intent of the College to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws in connection with an individual who contracts an 传染性疾病. 学生, personnel and visitors are encouraged to immediately report information related to the occurrence or potential occurrence of an 传染性疾病 within the campus community, as outlined in the College’s emergency management procedures. In the event of an 传染性疾病 in the campus community, the College will review and monitor the situation on a case-by-case basis and work with federal, 州和地方当局, 必要时, to determine the appropriate course of action. 

法律允许的, in order to protect the health and safety of the campus community, the College may take steps to identify and address the occurrence or potential occurrence of 传染性疾病s, including but not limited to the following:

  1. Inquire about an individual’s medical condition as it relates to 传染性疾病;
  2. Require an individual who has contracted or been exposed to an 传染性疾病 to submit a statement of health from a licensed healthcare provider prior to returning to the College, which may include proof of appropriate vaccination or testing.
  3. Consult with the individual’s licensed healthcare provider following appropriate consent regarding the 传染性疾病.
  4. Consult with medical professionals and other persons or resources, including the public health department, to assist in determining the appropriate course of action.
  5. Institute quarantine or isolation protocol(s).
  6. Enact restrictions on travel for employees and students for College 事件 或活动.
  7. Exclude or remove individuals who are infected from the classroom, workplace or other College property, 事件, 或活动. Personnel will be subject to the College’s policies, procedures and other requirements for requesting or receiving benefits and leaves of absence.
  8. Disclose information regarding the 传染性疾病, which may include identification of individuals, 这可能是法律要求的.
  9. Follow guidance or directives from federal, 州或地方当局.
  10. Offer accommodations to personnel and students who are displaced from their regularly scheduled College 事件 或活动.
  11. Activate College Emergency Operations and Mission Continuity Plans to consider measures including but not limited to social distancing, 大学关闭, alternative instruction and work locations, 清洗程序, 旅游监测, 等.
  12. Implement other temporary action that is reasonably required to prevent unacceptable risk of exposure to 传染性疾病 until the College is able to consult with medical professionals or federal, 州或地方当局.
